In a two-day thematic meeting, the HIJ staff discussed and finalized the Strategic Plan and the Action Plan for the High Inspector of Justice Office for 2020-2021.
“The main purpose of the document we are discussing is the finalization of a Strategic Plan and an Action Plan for 2020-2021 for the High Inspector of Justice Office, in order to organize and make our Institution functional in accordance with the entire strategic planning process of the country, such as the National Strategy for Development and Integration, the European Agenda for the Integration, the methods of planning the mid-term Budget Program, international funding, as well as the harmonization and coordination of the work activity of this new institution, with other bodies of justice system,” said the High Inspector of Justice Artur Metani in the introductory speech at the beginning of the activity.
The strategic document, the product of a 2-month work by the working group set up at the HIJ, was discussed by the leaders and representatives of the General Directorate of Legal Affairs and Services, the Directorate of Legal Analysis and Acts, the Directorate of Legal Services, the Budget and Finance Unit, Archive-Protocol Unit, Assistant Inspectors Unit and members of the High Inspector of Justice Cabinet.
This document defines the strategic objectives of the Office of the High Inspector of Justice for the next two years in several main directions, which reflect the vision, mission, values and strategic objectives of the Institution. Each targeted strategic objective is related to measures / activities for its implementation, accompanied by a proper methodology of monitoring and reporting on the level of implementation of the foreseen activities.
The Strategic Plan and its Action Plan for the Office of the High Inspector of Justice (2020-2021) will undergo a consultation process with domestic and international organizations of the field, to obtain a more comprehensive opinion outside the HIJ.
