METANI-BALLA: INSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION REGARDING THE COMPLAINTS ON THE WORK OF MAGISTRATES

Today, High Inspector of Justice Mr. Artur Metani held a meeting with the Minister of Interior Mr. Taulant Balla.

During the meeting, concerns were expressed by the Minister of Interior, regarding some decision-making by the magistrates, in the context of the investigation or trial of criminal offenses against the environment.

On his part, The High Inspector of Justice, expressed his maximum commitment to the verification of such cases, as well as their priority processing. Mr. Metani guaranteed that any magistrate who violates the law will be punished, in accordance with the principles and rules of the legislation in force and that every process will go forward in accordance with and respect for their role and independence.

During the conversation, the High Inspector of Justice and the Minister of Interior shared the will of the two institutions they lead to increase cooperation, emphasizing the need for the exchange of information or data in official channels, regarding the behavior or concrete decision-making of magistrates, which can constitute disciplinary violations and must be dealt with by the Office of the High Inspector of Justice.
