The Office of the High Inspector of Justice became part of the regional seminar on investigative processes and investigative interviewing techniques, organized in Vienna by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with the support of the Federal Republic of Germany, with the participation of law enforcement and criminal law experts from Southeast Europe, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Turkey and Ukraine.
Magistrate Inspector Ms. Elena Pelushi and non-magistrate inspector Ms. Joana Asimi made a presentation of the role and functions of the High Inspector of Justice as well as the development of the disciplinary investigation, in terms of interview procedures for magistrates, witnesses and any other person who may have information about the facts object of the disciplinary investigation.
The presentation of the representatives of the High Inspector of Justice Office included the legal basis and the methodology provided for in the Albanian legislation for the development of questioning process.
During the three days of this seminar, participants deepened their professional knowledge and shared their experiences on policing and other law enforcement methods of interviewing suspects, accused persons, victims and witnesses, and discussed practical implementation of investigative interview methodology in law enforcement institutions.
