High Inspector of Justice Artur Metani received Mrs. Toedora Tochkova, Inspector General of the Inspectorate to the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Bulgaria and the accompanying delegation on a working visit.
During the meeting the two High Inspectors confirmed their willingness to improve the bilateral cooperation in the exchange of practices for the investigation of disciplinary violations and inspections as well as in matters of common interest.
Mr. Metani and Mrs. Tochkova pointed out that based on the function of their institutions, there is a common interest in guaranteeing the functioning of the rule of law, the independence of the justice system, the right to a fair trial and the protection of the public interest. .
This working visit marks the beginning of a concrete cooperation between the High Inspector of Justice of the Republic of Albania and the Inspectorate to the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Bulgaria and it is part of the contacts that the Office of the High Inspector of Justice is establishing with the European counterparts so as to exchange the best work practices.
