The High Inspector of Justice Mr. Artur Metani met with the Federal Republic of Germany Ambassador Mr. Peter Zingraf.
Mr. Metani thanked the German Ambassador for the Germany great support in strengthening the rule of law in Albania and acquainted him with the challenges and objectives of the newest constitutional institution, in the implementation of the justice reform.
Ambassador Zingraf congratulated Mr. Metani on his new duty which has a lot of responsibilities and offered his support to increase the professionalism and independence of the Albanian judiciary.
“The election of Mr. Metani is another important component in the implementation of justice reform in Albania. The High Inspector of Justice will contribute with his work to the integrity, professionalism and independence of the Albanian judiciary. This is a functional and independent system of discipline and inspection, which accompanies the Vetting process, and in the future, it will be a crucial element in ensuring people’s long-term trust in a fair justice system,” the German ambassador wrote after the meeting on the German Embassy Facebook page.
