HIJ SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WITH AADF

A memorandum of understanding was signed today between the High Inspector of Justice Office and the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) for the Leadership Development Program, LEAD Albania. This program aims to provide young and talented Albanian professionals with direct experiences in the process of governing Albania.

The memorandum signed between the High Inspector of Justice, Mr. Artur Metani and AADF Co-CEOs, Mr. Martin Mata and Mr. Aleksandër Sarapuli, foresees the commitment of the parties to coordinate and cooperate on the implementation of the LEAD Albania program, from the selection and training to a one-year experience in the position of the advisor of the participants suggested by the program.

The High Inspector of Justice, Mr. Artur Metani considered the investment in the Leadership Development Program, crucial for the country long-term and sustainable development through professionals with deep knowledge on good governance and administration, knowledge gained from direct experience at the leading levels of governing institutions.

The AADF Co-CEO, Mr. Martin Mata highlighted that the LEAD Albania program has been successfully implemented since 2013, placing the Program participants in the cabinets of the highest institutions of Albania, the President’, Prime Minister’, Ministers’ and the Mayor of Tirana cabinet each year, and from this year onwards begins the cooperation with the new institutions emerged from the Justice Reform.

The High Inspector of Justice Office becomes the first institution, of the new institutions of justice, to commit to the cooperation for the further development of the LEAD Albania program, in the framework of the Justice Reform as well as increasing the new governing bodies of the justice system capacities.
