Ms. Albana Idershai is currently appointed to the position of Director, Directorate of Analysis and Standards at the Office of the High Inspector of Justice.
Previously, Ms. Idershai held the position of Advisor in the Cabinet of the High Inspector of Justice.
Before joining HIJ, she held the position of Director of Finance and Support Services at the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination (SASPAC) since January 2022.
Ms. Idershai completed her higher education at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Economics, Department of Finance and Accounting. Ms. Idershai also completed her higher education at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Mathematics.
She has extensive experience in public administration, initially at INSTAT, at the Ministry of Justice, and at the Water Resources Management Agency. She is a co-author and coordinator of several publications such as: “Statistical Bulletins 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005”. During the period 2008-2015 she held the positions of project coordinator and then Executive Director at ASET (Albanian Socio – Economic Think Tank).
Before joining SASPAC, she held the position of Director of Finance and Support Services at the Water Resources Management Agency (AMBU) for a period of 6 years.
During this period, she has gained considerable experience in financial management as well as in strengthening human resources capacities.
She also has considerable experience in managing and coordinating various projects from donors operating mainly in the environmental sector but also with a socio – economic character such as those in the field of migration, economic development, central and local governance, etc.
During this period, she has been involved in many research projects, also working as a trainer in various training programs with a main focus on social – economic, statistical issues, etc.
Several years of academic experience as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and several private universities are another important element of her professional career.
