HIGH INSPECTOR OF JUSTICE MEETS WITH MEMBERS OF THE HIGH JUDICIAL COUNCIL

The High Inspector of Justice Artur Metani held a work meeting with the members of the High Judicial Council, in which they focused on coordinating the activities between the Institution of the High Inspector of Justice (HIJ) and the High Judicial Council in order to exercise the powers provided for the two institutions.

The topics of the inter-institutional dialogue were related to the definition of the modalities and the administrative practices on forwarding complaints filed with the High Judicial Council until the establishment of the HIJ the exchange of information in order to implement the best practices, the cooperation regarding drafting regulations as well as the application of a uniform approach in the interpretation and implementation of new legal provisions in the framework of disciplinary proceedings.

The High Inspector of Justice and the members of the High Judicial Council agreed on the cooperation between the two institutions and signed a memorandum to reflect these working principles.

The meeting of the High Inspector of Justice with the members of the High Judicial Council is part of a series of meetings whose object is the magistrates’ work in the Republic of Albania. Mr. Metani has initiated these meetings with the institutions in the framework of the process launched for drafting the strategic plan and action plan of HIJ, 2021-2022.
